2008

Well, it is New Year's Eve...another year has come and gone. It is hard to believe. Here is a slide show of our 2008 highlights! Let me just say, it was very hard to narrow it down to so few photos :).

Playing Puzzles

Rebekah has found a love for playing puzzles. She can sit and do puzzles for 30-45 minutes at a time. We have been having very cold weather and spending a lot of time inside the house. Yesterday was a whopping 5 degrees outside...brrrrr. Rebekah set herself for a cozy time of working puzzles with her blankie.

Let It Snow :)

We have had such a great, nice warm fall. However, that means no snow. The girls were soooo excited today to get out and play in the 2" of snow that we received over night! I don't know how much Rebekah remembers about snow last year, but we had TONS. She never did play outside too much, it was usually too cold and too deep for her to have much fun. She had a great time outside this morning.

Elizabeth made her first snow angel of the winter! Here is a photo of the process and one of the end result. She was very happy with her angel.

Popcorn Painting

In November we did some popcorn painting! This was a project that was added to a lapbook that we were working on.

Here are the finished pictures. The top photo is Rebekah's and the bottom photo is Elizabeth's. What a fun way to paint.

Favorite October Pictures

Rebekah was Elmo for Halloween. She just loved her costume! We had a great time at the church playing games. The kids got waaay too much candy.

Elizabeth dressed like Kaya the American Girl. She even made her own headband.

Elizabeth lost her first tooth this month. She did have 4 pulled at the bottom, but this was the first one that was officially lost on its own.

Rebekah LOVES school time. Here she is "helping" her sister.

Gingerbread House

Every Christmas we make a Gingerbread House. This year Rebekah was old enough to really enjoy the process! I love that everything comes ready made in the kit and we just have to build the house and decorate.

Baking Day

Today was cookie baking day! The girls put on their aprons and hats and were ready to go. Elizabeth did a great job reading the recipe and measuring the ingredients.

Trying to figure out how much butter we needed.

Measuring the molasses.

Doesn't everyone bake in pearls?

The Girls

So, I have a really nice blog going, but it is not very easy to keep up. My goal is to transfer everything over here, if possible. Check out my most recent blog at www.homeschoolblogger.com/twogirlsmommy.

This photo of the girls was taken about 2 months ago. They were supposed to be Elizabeth's 7 year old pictures (a tad late, oops). Rebekah really, really wanted to have a turn too, so we had one taken! It did turn out very cute.
